I took up spinning (with a spindle) in August 2007.  I now have a collection of spindles, a Wheel of Unknown Origin (Possibly European), and Ashford Kiwi and a fibre stash.  I’m making progress, but I feel hampered by a lack of structured education.  I want a 12 week course.

One of the reasons I took up spinning, I think.  I hate pink with every fibre of my being.  And you can’t get a lot of yarn in camo colours.  And there is never enough green.  Green needs more love.

I’ve been knitting since my mother taught me.  I don’t know how old I was – probably around five or six.  That makes it roughly twenty-five years.

I do: knit, purl, increase, decrease, intarsia, stranded colourwork, double knitting, lace, circs, DPNs.  I like to try new techniques.

I don’t do: seaming, if I can help it.

I live in Adelaide, South Australia.  I have a husband and two German Shepherd puppies – a long hair B&T and a White.

I like the garden and I hate housework.
